Ingredients

  • Aged Gouda, 8 oz
  • Blue Cheese, 4 oz
  • Sharp White Cheddar, 6 oz
  • Prosciutto, 6 oz
  • Sopressata, 4 oz
  • Fresh Figs, 6-8
  • Red Grapes, 1 cup
  • Apple Slices, 1 apple
  • Honeycomb, 4-6 oz piece
  • Marcona Almonds, ½ cup
  • Pumpkin Seeds, ¼ cup
  • Crackers & Bread, assorted (water crackers, fig and olive crisps, sliced baguette)
  • Dried Apricots, ½ cup
  • Fresh Rosemary Sprigs
  • Flaky Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. Start with the Bowls: Place small ramekins on the board first. Put honeycomb in one bowl and Marcona almonds in another. Position them slightly off-center.
  2. Add the Cheeses: Place aged Gouda, blue cheese, and sharp cheddar in three different spots around the board. Cut Gouda into thin wedges, leave blue cheese in a chunk, and slice cheddar into ¼-inch thick rectangles.
  3. Layer the Meats: Fold prosciutto slices into loose ribbons or waves. Place near blue cheese. Arrange sopressata slices in a small fan pattern near the cheddar.
  4. Scatter the Fruits: Place fig halves in small clusters around the board. Tuck grape clusters into empty spaces. Lay apple slices in a small stack near the center.
  5. Fill in the Gaps: Add dried apricots and pumpkin seeds, scattering them evenly between larger items.
  6. Add the Crackers and Bread: Fan out crackers in groups of 3-4 around the board. Place baguette slices in a small pile near the edge.
  7. Garnish and Finish: Tuck fresh rosemary sprigs around the board. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over honeycomb and fig halves. Fill any bare spots with almonds or crackers.
  8. Serve Immediately or Refrigerate: Best served at room temperature. If making ahead, cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate up to 2 hours. Take out 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Let cheese come to room temperature for best flavor. Don’t overcrowd the board—leave space for guests to grab items. Honeycomb is edible wax and all; encourage guests to spread it on crackers. Prep all ingredients before assembling. Keep extra ingredients handy for refills.
