  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, optional pinch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the asparagus stalks by snapping off the tough ends. Rinse and pat dry.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and red pepper flakes if using.
  4. Arrange the salmon fillets skin-side down on a baking sheet and spread the asparagus around in a single layer.
  5. Drizzle 1 tablespoon olive oil over the asparagus and season everything lightly with freshly ground black pepper.
  6. Brush the salmon generously with the honey garlic glaze.
  7. Roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes until salmon flakes easily and asparagus is tender but crisp. Optionally baste salmon halfway through with leftover glaze.
