This Easy Monster Mash Snack Mix is a quick, 10-minute treat combining salty pretzels, chewy candy corn, and smooth white chocolate. Perfect for Halloween parties or any casual get-together, it’s an addictive salty-sweet snack that disappears fast.

  • 2 cups candy corn
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers or almond bark
  • 1 cup roasted salted peanuts (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Halloween sprinkles or colored sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Set aside.
  2. In a very large mixing bowl, combine 4 cups pretzel twists, 2 cups candy corn, and 1 cup roasted salted peanuts (if using). Toss to distribute evenly.
  3. Place 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until mostly melted but still with a few lumps (about 1.5 to 2 minutes). Stir vigorously until smooth and glossy. Do not overheat.
  4. Pour melted white chocolate over the pretzel mixture. Gently fold with a rubber spatula until all pieces are evenly coated.
  5. Immediately pour the coated mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread into an even layer. If using sprinkles, sprinkle over the top while chocolate is still wet.
  6. Let cool and harden at room temperature for 30 to 45 minutes, or refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes until firm.
  7. Once set, break into bite-sized clusters.

Notes

For best results, use white chocolate melting wafers or almond bark instead of white chocolate chips to avoid seizing. If using white chocolate chips, add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to help them melt smoothly. Do not overheat white chocolate. For bigger clusters, don’t spread the mixture too thin. In humid weather, let the mix set in the refrigerator to ensure firmness.
