A tart, sweet, and fizzy non-alcoholic Halloween punch that looks like blood and tastes amazing. Perfect for kids’ parties, adult gatherings, or a cozy night in watching scary movies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups cranberry juice (100% juice, not cocktail blend)
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice (e.g., POM Wonderful)
  • 3 cups ginger ale (chilled, e.g., Canada Dry or Fever-Tree)
  • 1 cup orange juice (fresh squeezed or pulp-free store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (fresh)
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 cup frozen cranberries
  • 1–2 whole limes (thinly sliced into rounds)
  • 3–4 fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)
  • 2 cups water or extra cranberry juice (for ice ring)
  • 1/2 cup frozen cranberries (for ice ring)
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds (for ice ring)
  • 1 teaspoon edible glitter (optional, for ice ring)

Instructions

  1. Make the ice ring at least 4 hours ahead or the night before: Fill a ring mold or small bundt pan halfway with water or cranberry juice. Arrange frozen cranberries and pomegranate seeds in a single layer. Freeze for 2 hours, then add more liquid to fill the mold completely. Freeze another 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Mix the juice base: In a punch bowl or large pitcher, combine 4 cups cranberry juice, 2 cups pomegranate juice, and 1 cup orange juice. Stir gently with a wooden spoon. Taste and adjust tartness by adding a splash more orange juice if needed.
  3. Add the lime juice: Squeeze in 2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice and stir again.
  4. Chill the base: If not serving immediately, cover and refrigerate the juice mixture for up to 24 hours. The flavors meld together better overnight.
  5. Add the fizz right before serving: Pour in 3 cups of chilled ginger ale. Stir gently to avoid knocking out the bubbles.
  6. Assemble the garnishes: Float the frozen cranberries and pomegranate seeds on top. Arrange lime slices around the edge of the bowl or let them float freely. Add rosemary sprigs if using.
  7. Add the ice ring: Carefully unmold the ice ring by running warm water over the outside of the mold for about 10 seconds. Slide it into the punch bowl gently.
  8. Serve immediately: Ladle into glasses or let guests serve themselves. The punch should stay cold for about an hour with the ice ring.

Notes

Add the ginger ale at the last minute to keep the fizz. Make two ice rings for a crowd—swap in a fresh one after an hour. For a less tart punch, swap 1 cup cranberry juice with apple juice. For a sweeter punch, add 2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup. For a sugar-free version, use diet ginger ale and unsweetened cranberry juice. The juice base can be made up to 24 hours ahead.
