A quick and easy deviled eggs recipe featuring a creamy yolk filling topped with crunchy everything bagel seasoning for a perfect snack or party appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large eggs, hard-boiled and peeled
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise (Hellmann’s recommended)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons everything bagel seasoning (toasted sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried garlic, dried onion, coarse salt)
  • Smoked paprika (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place 6 large eggs in a medium saucepan and cover with cold water about an inch above the eggs. Bring to a rolling boil over medium-high heat (about 8-10 minutes). Once boiling, remove from heat and cover the pot with a lid. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to a bowl of ice water immediately and let cool for at least 5 minutes. Gently crack the shells all around and peel under running water if needed.
  3. Slice each egg in half lengthwise with a sharp knife. Carefully remove the yolks and place them in a mixing bowl. Set the whites aside on a serving dish.
  4. Mash the yolks with a fork until crumbly. Add 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  5. Spoon or pipe the creamy yolk mixture back into the egg whites. Fill generously.
  6. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of everything bagel seasoning evenly over the filled eggs.
  7. Optionally, dust lightly with smoked paprika for color and a smoky hint.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving to let flavors meld and filling set slightly. Serve cold or at room temperature.

Notes

Use older eggs for easier peeling. For a silkier filling, blend yolks with other ingredients in a food processor briefly. Make filling a day ahead and refrigerate; add seasoning just before serving to keep crunch. Toast your own everything bagel seasoning for extra flavor. Variations include adding sriracha for spice or substituting half mayo with avocado or Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
